Full circle for City full-back

Danny Mills has returned to former club Charlton Athletic in a loan move from Manchester City. The 30-year-old former England international, who has not figured under Sven Goran Eriksson's regime at Eastlands, moves back to The Valley until the end of the year. Mills spent 15 months at Charlton between March 1998 and June 1999 before a £4million move to Leeds. Addicks boss Alan Pardew believes Mills' experience can only help his side's bid for an immediate return to the Premier League. "The reason we brought Danny Mills to the club is we feel we are lacking a bit of organisation at the back and at times, a little bit of experience," said Pardew. "We also needed someone, I think, who is aware what this division is about."
