Reds boss is keen to banish the White Hart Lane defeat

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes the 4-0 defeat by Tottenham earlier this season will help his side when they meet at Anfield on Monday night. The defeat remains the Reds' heaviest during Dalglish's current reign as manager but he expects a more even game when they next clash. Spurs were 1-0 up from a superb Luka Modric goal but red cards for Charlie Adam and Martin Skrtel left Liverpool over-run and they conceded a further three times. Harry Redknap's side are the last team to win a Premier League match at Anfield, but Dalglish is confident the Reds can learn from 4-0 defeat.

Not forgottern

"Nothing is completely forgotten about," Dalglish said. "Everything that you have learned and experienced you have in the bank and if you have to use it you use it. "We went there and lost a wonder goal to Modric and Charlie Adam got sent off early on so it was always going to be uphill from there. "It was certainly not a pleasant trip but there are positives you can take away from anything." Liverpool go into the Spurs clash on the back of an excellent run of results following successive cup victories over both Manchester sides with a 3-0 win at Wolves in midweek.
Praise
"They [Tottenham] are one of the better teams in the Premier League," said Dalglish. "They had a difficult start, lost to Manchester United and got beat 5-1 at home by Manchester City when Harry was still getting a few players back. "But since then they have kicked on and been fantastic in the way they have played and the teams they have beaten. "But we are not looking to see what Spurs can gain out of it, for us we want three points and that will help us more than one point. "We will only consider what we have to do. Spurs are as good a side in the Premier League as any other. "It is a difficult game for us but we are looking forward to it and we'll give it a go."
