Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp attended FC Twente's UEFA Champions League qualifier against Benfica on Tuesday night amid increased speculation he is set to bid for winger Bryan Ruiz.
The Spurs boss travelled to Holland to watch the game and was spotted at De Grolsch Veste stadium sitting alongside side Twente's youth-team manager, Patrick Kluivert.
Redknapp has been linked with Ruiz for several months and reports suggest the Costa Rica star has a £13.75million release clause in his contract.
The 25-year-old has previously claimed Tottenham have approached his agent, and he did no harm to his chances of impressing with Twente's second goal in the 2-2 draw with Benfica.
According to reports in Holland, Redknapp had been due to watch Ruiz in action during Saturday's encounter with AZ Alkmaar.
But he is said to have cancelled his trip to Enschede at the last minute when he learned the forward would start the match on the bench.
Ruiz went on to score an eye-catching goal and he hoped the strike would convince Tottenham to make progress in the transfer market.
