We cast an eye over this weekend's Premier League action and pick out the highlights.
Player of the weekend
Nathan Redmond
A tough one this weekend, as there were few stand-out displays - but there were none better than Norwich winger Nathan Redmond. The England youth star is only just beginning out in the Premier League following his summer move from Birmingham, but he has hit the ground running and produced a wonderful display against Southampton giving Callum Chambers a torrid time before claiming the winner. Great performance.
Game of the weekend
Crystal Palace 3-1 Sunderland
A match between Ian Holloway and Paolo Di Canio is always unlikely to end goalless, and this one did not disappoint. A rare Danny Gabbidon opened the scoring before Steven Fletcher looked to have helped his side to share of the spoils as he scored from the bench. But then it all changed when John O'Shea gave away a penalty and was sent-off which allowed Dwight Gayle to slot home his first Premier League goal before another sub Stuart O'Keefe rounded off the Palace victory with a brilliant third.
Save of the weekend
Wojciech Szczesny
For the second week running the maligned Polish star takes our honour of Save of the weekend. This time around it was another spectacular effort as he kept Spurs at bay in the North London derby. With 14-minutes left he was at full stretch diving to his left to deny a goal ward-bound deflected effort from substitute Jermain Defoe.
Miss of the weekend
Sone Aluko
Former Rangers man Aluko had a very good game for Hull City at the Etihad, but he will be thinking what could have been and so will Manchester City after his early miss. Danny Graham sent him clear, but one-on-one with Joe Hart he sent it wide when he should have scored.
Goal of the weekend
Hatem Ben Arfa
A man of the match performance from Hatem Ben Arfa was capped by the wining goal, and what a goal. He cut inside from the right onto his left foot, and from the edge of the area fired into the top corner. An honourable mention must also go to Jermaine Pennant for his terrific free-kick against West Ham.
Gaffe of the Weekend
John O'Shea
A real nightmare for the Black Cats skipper. With ten-minutes to go at Crystal Palace, and with the game poised at 1-1, he brought down Dwight Gayle in the box - penalty given and he was got a red-card. Gayle converted the spot-kick and that was that. And afterwards his boss Paolo Di Canio could not hide his frustration with the Irishman.
Moment of the weekend
Swansea opening win
Swansea have endured a tough start to the season, but they have kept to their task and Michael Laudrup was rewarded with an excellent performance at West Brom as they bounced back from two successive defeats to seal their first points of the season.
