Torres' time?

Sky Sports Fantasy Football guru Tim Clement believes Fernando Torres can pile on the points against Norwich.

Torres backed to torment Canaries at Stamford Bridge on Saturday

Fernando Torres looks primed to plough in the points in Sky Sports Fantasy Football this weekend with Norwich's visit to Chelsea promising goals galore for the hosts. The Canaries have made a respectable start to life back in the big time with draws against Wigan and Stoke but face a far sterner test when they travel to Stamford Bridge. Paul Lambert's men conceded a worrying 48 goals in the Championship last season and have ominously lost their last four trips to west London, having 15 goals pumped past them in the process. Quite simply, if there was ever the chance for Torres to silent his critics it will be this weekend. The Spaniard has looked lively and refreshed following a first full summer break in years and should benefit from the addition of international team-mate Juan Mata, who is available at £7.7m. Full-back Jose Bosingwa (£6.5m) is another player who has looked revitalised this season with his tendency to bomb down the right-flank already seeing him notch up one assist, while the Portugal full-back is a relative bargain at £1.4m less than his team-mate Ashley Cole.

Gunners still vulnerable

The game of the weekend sees Manchester United host Arsenal, who may be buoyed by their Champions League progress but are a whopping 6/1 with Sky Bet for victory following just a point from their opening two fixtures and just one away league win in eight. Wayne Rooney (£9.9m) has bagged in both of United's openers and scored three in five against the Gunners, despite missing a penalty, while Danny Welbeck (5.9m) should of done enough to retain his starting berth with a performance against Tottenham that saw him notch up a weekend high 15 points. Despite that display and his small price tag, only 0.7% of Fantasy bosses have signed the 20-year-old with his team-mate Javier Hernandez (£9.2m) selected in 9.1% of teams despite only making a single substitute appearance following injury. Few have put faith in Gunners players with even Robin van Persie (9.5m) being dropped by over 14,000 bosses as Sergio Aguero replaces him as one of the favoured frontmen with 24,000 sides signing him up since his 14-point cameo debut.

Silva stars

However, David Silva has been the man to have after notching up 24 points with goals and Sky Sports' man of the match awards in Manchester City's opening-gameweek victories. Tottenham will be looking to end that perfect start at White Hart Lane on Sunday but will be without loan signing Emmanuel Adebayor (£6.2m) due to the terms of his loan move from the Etihad Stadium outfit. Another player looking to maintain a record of scoring in every game this season is Luis Suarez, who has been the popular choice of the season with 37% Fantasy managers getting him on board. The Uruguayan is odds-on with Sky Bet to maintain that record against Bolton, a side the Reds have beaten in their last nine meetings, with Jussi Jaaskelainen's howler in a 3-2 defeat to Manchester City offering little deterrence.

Capture Cahill

Gary Cahill scored a stunner in Bolton's 4-0 opening-day win over QPR, to become the highest-scoring defender in the Premier League since the start of the 2008/09 season, and will look even more of a bargain at £5.9m if Arsenal meet his valuation after having an initial bid rejected. Saturday also sees the Midlands early high flyers Aston Villa and Wolves meet with Matt Jarvis looking to repeat his heroics at from last season at Villa Park when he scored the only goal of the game. Jarvis has already notched up 12 points this term with a goal and an assist, but Villa have their fair share of form attackers with all three frontmen netting in last weekend's 3-1 win over Blackburn. Gabriel Agbonlahor (£5.7m) scored one, set one up and landed the man of the match award to rack up 15 points against Rovers, while Darren Bent (£9m) found the net for a second-successive weekend and even Emile Heskey (£5.5m) bagged a rare goal.

Krul option

Elsewhere, Newcastle's backline has somewhat surprisingly been the best point scorers following successive clean sheets with Tim Krul (£4.7m) worth backing to make it a third when goalless Fulham visit St James' Park on Sunday. Victor Moses has been a fruitful acquisition at £4.6m after being awarded man of the match in both of Wigan's games so far and looks the most tempting target with few else standing out from QPR's trip to the DW Stadium. Likewise, few else stand out from Blackburn v Everton with both making sluggish starts, while Shane Long will be looking to add to his two-goal tally as West Brom host Stoke.
