Lennon hoping to have new man in to face Hibs

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon is hoping to have a new defender in his ranks ahead of their SPL clash with Hibernian. Former Nottingham Forest defender Chris Doig and Moroccan Ilias Haddad have been at the club on trial this week. Lennon has confirmed that one of the trialists has been offered the chance to stay, although he is refusing to confirm which. The unnamed player has been offered terms and Lennon is not ruling out the possibility of him featuring against Hibs. "The two of them did particularly well and one we have offered a short-term contract," revealed Lennon. "The player has agreed to that offer but until things are signed, sealed and delivered, you never know. "He would certainly be involved (against Hibernian) if everything goes through."
