Wilson in no rush to decide on offering new contracts

Jon-Paul McGovern is not worrying about securing a new contract at Swindon Town as Danny Wilson expects the midfielder to have gained some new admirers. McGovern, who joined Swindon from MK Dons in 2007, has impressed for the League One club in recent weeks, but is out of contract at the end of the season. He is aware he could be the subject of interest during the transfer window, but is not dwelling on the possibility of a January exit. "I'm out of contract so if something happens in January then so be it," McGovern told the Swindon Advertiser. "But that's not up to me - that's in the hands of the manager. It's a strange time, but it's just part of the game." Wilson is aware clubs may have taken note of the 29-year-old's current form, but does not want to rush into a decision on the future of those players who will be out of contract in the summer. Wilson said: "The fact that JP has done so well will obviously attract attention. "Most of the players whose situations need to be addressed will be addressed within the next two or three weeks. "We're in no rush, and distractions like that we don't want. We'll pick and choose what we need to do."
