The eve of a new Premier League season is traditionally the time when
skysports.com's raft of journalists run the gauntlet of ridicule that is predicting what will happen over the intervening 10 months.
Our musings are generally about as accurate as Michael Fish's in 1987 when he jested: "Earlier today, apparently, a woman rang the BBC and said she heard there was a hurricane on the way... well, if you're watching, don't worry, there isn't!" That evening, the worst storm to hit South East England since 1703 caused record damages and killed 19 people.
Like Fish we haven't been put off and have again offered our individual predictions for who will be the fall-guys and heroes for the
2009/10 campaign.
To make things even more interesting this year we've enlisted the help of some of the top-flight's finest players to offer their views on the season ahead.
