Jack Wilshere has apologised for his celebrations during Arsenal’s FA Cup victory parade on Sunday.
The England international has been warned over his conduct by his club after he was filmed making expletive-laden comments about rivals Tottenham during their open-top bus tour to celebrate the 4-0 win over Aston Villa in Saturday's FA Cup final.
Wilshere has now apologised on social media, tweeting: “Sharing back2back Cup wins with so many amazing Gooners is a dream come true. Apologies if I upset or offended any of u with my celebrations [sic]”.
The midfielder was reprimanded for making similar comments in the wake of last season’s victory over Hull in the final of the same competition and former Arsenal striker Niall Quinn has urged him to be more careful.
The Sky Sports football pundit told Sky Sports News HQ: "It's cropped up again. You want passion from your players, there’s no doubt about that, but he has overstepped the mark once more.
"I think most Arsenal fans and fans of any club love to interact with players and love to feel their passion but he has pushed the boat out too far once again. He has been reminded of his responsibilities.
"He's a player who has much talent and he has been talked about for a lot of other reasons beside his football talent. Once again, we are doing it here when it should be a great day or two.
"I think he has to retain that passion for his club but not to cross the line and mock Spurs the way he did or the way he got the fans to do. He has to act a little bit better from now on."

Wilshere, however, has been defended by a representative from the Arsenal Independent Supporters' Association.
"No doubt Arsenal will be obliged to remind him of his duties when representing the club in public, but Jack Wilshere showed yesterday that he totally understands what it is to be an Arsenal supporter," said Lois Langton.
"He has been with us since he was nine years of age and, for him, winning with Arsenal means celebrating with supporters.
"Jack simply reflected what is sung on the terraces up and down the country, week in and week out - the Spurs supporters have exactly the same songs for us."
