Luton have suspended striker Ricky Miller after he was arrested on Sunday evening.
The Hatters confirmed that the 26-year-old was involved in an 'alleged incident' on Sunday which saw him arrested.
And an official statement on Monday afternoon explained the punishment handed out to the former Boston forward while a police enquiry and an internal investigation by his employers takes place.
"Luton Town Football Club can confirm that Ricky Miller has been arrested following an alleged incident on Sunday evening," it read. "Subsequently, Ricky has been suspended by the club pending a police enquiry.
"Luton Town FC takes any allegation against a player or member of staff very seriously. An internal investigation is also underway and any player guilty of misconduct will be disciplined appropriately."
