Paris Saint-Germain's president has dismissed reports the club are planning to sell striker Edinson Cavani this summer.

The Uruguay forward has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United over the past few months.

But PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said the French champions were determined to hold onto the 28-year-old.

“Edinson Cavani is a player I really like,” he told newspaper Le Parisien.

“I can tell you that he is very much with us, and the question of his departure has not arisen. Paris loves him and he loves Paris.”

Cavani scored twice against Bastia in Saturday's League Cup final win.

The striker, who has netted 17 goals this season, cost the Paris club around £50m from Napoli in 2013.
