Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola admitted he was 'very proud' after the Bundesliga leaders battled to victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday despite a mounting injury list.
Bayern moved a step closer to a third straight title thanks to a 3-0 win over Frankfurt without a number of key players.
Alongside Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who have been ruled out recently, Medhi Benatia and Philipp Lahm both suffered injuries in the midweek cup win over Bayer Leverkusen - a game which went to extra time and penalties and is therefore likely to have cost Bayern also in terms of energy.
"I'm very, very proud,” Guardiola told the club's official website.
"Three days after the game in Leverkusen (in the DFB-Pokal), we've played the third-best attacking team in the Bundesliga, and we've controlled and dominated them."
Robert Lewandowski boosted his own chances of winning the golden boot award for second year running, after finishing the league's top-scorer with Borussia Dortmund last season, by netting two goals in a commanding victory.
Bayern had a goal disallowed and they also struck the woodwork before Thomas Muller added a third as they claimed their 22nd win this season to move 10 points clear of second-placed Wolfsburg.
"We've done very, very well, and played very good football,” added Guardiola. "Congratulations on this match, and we now need only three wins to retain the title."
Next up for Bayern is a trip to Porto on Wednesday in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and Guardiola is hoping Bayern can continue to battle through with no further injuries.
"We have to recover now and focus on a special competition. I hope we can take on Porto with these players and that no-one else gets injured," he said.
