Tottenham are confident Kyle Walker will not be out for a long period of time despite leaving Burnley on crutches.
The right-back picked up what looked like a foot injury in Spurs’ draw with the Clarets at Turf Moor on Sunday.
The England international was treated in first-half stoppage time after a collision with the home side’s full-back Kieran Trippier during the 0-0 stalemate.
Walker then played just two minutes of the second half before being replaced by Ben Davies.
But Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “We expect and we hope that it’s not a big issue.”
Walker, 24, made a return to playing action in December after eight months out due to surgery on a long-standing abdominal injury.
He played the second half of England’s 1-1 draw with Italy in a friendly international in Turin on Tuesday night.
