Juventus director Pavel Nedved has confirmed Barcelona are among a host of clubs interested in signing Paul Pogba.

The former Czech Republic midfielder revealed Barca’s interest in Pogba during an interview in which he was quizzed about the state of affairs at the Camp Nou.

Pogba, 22, has flourished since arriving in Turin from Manchester United in 2012 and is now ranked among the world's most sought-after young prospects.

The Frenchman has been continually linked with a return to England, with former club United, rivals Manchester City and Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea all thought to be interested in him.

And Nedved, while reiterating Pogba remained under contract at Juventus, confirmed the La Liga leaders have joined the long list of potential suitors eyeing the midfielder who is sure to be the subject of speculation throughout the summer.

"We know that Barca and other big clubs want him," he told Mundo Deportivo. "But he has a contract with us.”

And former Ballon d’Or winner Nedved is wary of the threat posed by manager Luis Enrique and striker Lionel Messi.

"I didn't want Barca in the quarter-finals,” Nedved added. “They are among the two best teams in Europe and are favourites to win the Champions League, along with Bayern Munich.

“They are playing at a really high level, as can be seen in the results of the last months.

Messi is an amazing player. I don't know what to think when I see him playing. He has been at a high level for many years but maybe he is now at his best moment. It's fantastic to see him enjoying playing football.

"Barca are now unpredictable and this makes them more dangerous. With players like Messi, Neymar and [Luis] Suarez, if they can run, they will.

"They played an amazing match against City, an exhibition.
