PSV Eindhoven responded to their shock loss to title rivals Ajax by reasserting their authority in the Eredivisie with a convincing 3-0 victory at Go Ahead Eagles.

Phillip Cocu's men are now 14 points clear of their nearest challengers - Ajax were 3-1 winners in Eindhoven last weekend - after goals from Memphis Depay (23) and Andres Guardado (44), and Jop van der Linden's 39th-minute own goal, put the Deventer club under the cosh before half-time.

PEC Zwolle were also big winners as they thrashed Cambuur Leeuwarden 6-1 at IJsseldelta Stadion.

Jesper Drost (30), Maikel Van der Werff (35) and Ryan Thomas (63) put the hosts out of sight but they were not done there.

Substitute Stefan Nijland (70 penalty, 80 and 89) helped himself to a hat-trick with Cambuur sub Mikhail Rosheuvel easing the visitors' pain with a consolation goal on 76 minutes.

Heerenveen beat ADO Den Haag 1-0 thanks to Luciano Slagveer's 78th-minute strike in South Holland, while Heracles and Vitesse played out a 1-1 draw at the Polman Stadion.

Bertrand Traore gave Vitesse the lead after 21 minutes, but Denni Avdic (90) grabbed an equaliser from the bench.
