Chelsea and Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves says he wouldn't be surprised to see Tottenham win the Capital One Cup final

Jimmy Greaves has backed Tottenham Hotspur to overcome Chelsea in Sunday’s Capital One Cup final at Wembley.

Greaves played with distinction for both clubs, scoring 132 goals in just 169 matches for the Blues between 1957 and 1961, before then netting a further 268 strikes in only 281 games for Spurs over the course of the next nine years.

And the former England striker says he has been impressed with Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino in his debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

So much so that Greaves has even tipped the Argentine to claim the first-ever trophy of his nascent managerial career against the Blues this weekend.

“Spurs are in a position where they are well organised now and the manager has got them playing well,” he told Soccer Saturday.

“They all know what they are doing and they are more than capable of winning the game. And I would not be surprised if Tottenham beat Chelsea on Sunday.”
