Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of midfielder Chris Eagles on a deal until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old, who could make his Addicks debut against Wigan on Friday, left Bolton Wanderers at the end of 2013-14 and had a short spell with Blackpool earlier this season.
Eagles made seven appearances for the Seasiders, with his only goal coming against his new employers in the 2-2 draw between the sides at The Valley in December.
He has been training with the club since Monday and is delighted to have been handed a chance to impress by the Sky Bet Championship club.
"We touched base [with Charlton] last season, but Bolton wouldn’t let me come," Eagles told the club's website.
"I came down Monday, trained, had a fitness test and everything was alright. Then on Wednesday night I agreed to it. I just wanted to get it done.
"I’ve had a great feeling about being here, it’s a massive club. I’m over the moon to be here and as soon as I knew they wanted to sign me it didn’t matter what they offered me I just wanted to be here."
Charlton head coach Guy Luzon added: "He will be with us tomorrow and I am sure he will help us. He is an attacking midfielder who can also play behind a striker. He is a player with quality and a good character."
