Zlatan Ibrahimovic's second-half penalty earned PSG a 1-1 draw at leaders Lyon in Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.
Lyon took the lead on 30 minutes through Clinton N'Jie, finishing from just outside the six-yard box after Nabil Fekir's neat flick.
Ibrahimovic came close to equalising just after half-time, but Anthony Lopes produced a fine save to deny his header.
The Swede had the chance to level from the spot with 20 minutes to go after PSG were awarded a penalty. His first spot kick was saved by Lopes, but the referee ordered for it to be retaken for encroachment, and this time Ibrahimovic netted with precision.
Lyon lead Ligue 1 by two points from Marseille, who drew at Rennes on Saturday.
Monaco's recent charge up Ligue 1 came to a halt on Sunday as they conceded a first goal in over 800 minutes to fall 1-0 at 10-man Guingamp.
The result leaves Monaco fifth on 40 points while Saint Etienne, who drew 3-3 with Lens on Friday, have 41 in fourth, but only the top three in France qualify for the Champions League.
Croatian international goalkeeper Daniel Subasic had not let in a league goal for Monaco in 842 minutes when Dorian Leveque tapped in at the far post for Guingamp after Claudio Beavue beat the backline with a searching pass in the 52nd minute.
And this came despite the numerical advantage enjoyed by the visitors after Guingamp midfielder Moustapha Diallo was sent off on 21 minutes for a studs up challenge.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Nice and Nantes, eighth and ninth in the table respecitvely, played out a 0-0 draw.
