Hal Robson-Kanu is an early injury doubt for Reading ahead of Saturday's trip to Birmingham.
The Wales midfielder suffered a hamstring strain as the Royals were held to a goalless draw at home by Bolton at the weekend.
Boss Nigel Adkins remains hopeful Robson-Kanu will be available and will monitor his fitness during the week.
Adkins was already without Jamie Mackie, Pavel Pogrebnyak, Anton Ferdinand, Hope Akpan, Danny Guthrie and Jem Karacan against Wanderers, and does not expect any of them to be fit to travel to St Andrew's.
