Transfer news: Wycombe sign Hogan Ephraim on free transfer

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth has signed attacker Hogan Ephraim on a deal until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old, who worked with Ainsworth during their time at QPR, was a free agent after departing Loftus Road in the summer.

Ephraim, who impressed for the Blues in a pre-season friendly against Chesham, had been training with Ainsworth's side in recent weeks before penning a deal.

"The fact that we've signed a player of Hogan's quality shows that players are looking at Wycombe in a different light now," Ainsworth told the club's official website.

"He's a great attacking option to us and he has an ability on the ball which will stand out in League Two.

"I want to add more goals to his game but the chances he creates will be a massive positive for us. He'll bring flair and he'll fit straight in as he knows a couple of the boys (Paul Hayes and Gary Doherty) from his time at Charlton.

"Hogan is the type of player who can win a game with one moment of magic and I'm really excited to bring him here."

Ephraim added: "I have a good relationship with the manager having worked with him at QPR and this is a chance for me to enjoy my football again.

"I want to be in an atmosphere where I can smile when I'm playing and that's when I'm at my best. The manager and the chairman have given me the opportunity to do that here and I'm looking forward to it."
