Saido Berahino feels West Brom are heading in the right direction after they rallied for a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Berahino scored a last-minute penalty to even the scores at The Hawthorns, the England Under-21 international making it six goals in his last five club games.

"We’re heading the right way and we have just got to stay focused and work that extra bit harder," Berahino said.

"We’ve got some important games coming up. We feel that we can pick up some more points so we just have to stay focused and get the job done.

"To be fair I don’t know what happened there (in the first half), some of us just felt that we hadn’t even started and (at half-time) the gaffer mentioned that we didn’t even get going until the 32nd minute.

"We just had to make sure that in the second half we don’t lose the game and we come out and we give our best.

"I’m just glad that I’m scoring the goals and I just thank god that this opportunity came today and I put it in the back of the net."

Berahino was also glad to have Victor Anichebe back, his strike partner scoring the first West Brom goal early in the second half on his first start since August 23.

"We’ve missed him. He’s missed a lot of games through injury and it’s great that he’s come back and he’s got a goal for us and won a penalty for us as well," Berahino added.
