Sky Sports understands former Wolves midfielder Jamie O'Hara could be in line for a move to America with Chicago Fire.

O'Hara, who is a free agent, has been invited over to the Major League Soccer outfit for talks and a look around the club as they hope to lure him to America.

The 28-year-old arrived at Molineux from Tottenham in January 2011 on an initial loan deal but made the move permanent that summer after helping Wolves avoid relegation from the Premier League.

However, Wanderers suffered successive relegations in the following two seasons and O'Hara was deemed surplus to requirements when Kenny Jackett was appointed manager in June 2013.

O'Hara cancelled his contract at Wolves by mutual consent in August and has been training at Queens Park Rangers in a bid to maintain his fitness.

The former England Under-21 international is keen to get his career back on track after a disappointing last 18 months at Wolves and has been working hard to impress potential suitors.

A number of clubs in England have shown an interest in O'Hara, but he is keeping his options open and is set to spend a week in Chicago as he weighs up a possible move to America.
