Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is delighted to be in the Premier League but played down hopes of replacing Joe Hart as England's No 1.
The 26-year-old arrived in the summer on a four-year contract for a fee around £10m having won three league titles and two Scottish Cups at Celtic.
Forster was also part of the England squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil - although he did not play - but he insists helping his club is his immediate concern.
An impressive display on Saturday helped shut out West Brom in a goalless to secure the club's first point of the campaign, a week after narrowly losing to Liverpool.
"We had a fabulous performance last week and we didn’t get anything out of it so we’ve had a good start and we just need to keep working and build on what we’ve already done," Forster said.
"But it’s been good. Southampton have been fantastic and they’re a good group. They’ve really helped me settle in.
"The club can’t do enough for you. It’s good to be playing in the Premier League but it’s always been something I’ve wanted to do. I have to work as hard as I can and go from there. It’s a fantastic league to be part of and it’s a tough game every week.
"We have a lot of new players but each game we’ll get better and we’ll get used to playing with each other."
On his hopes of breaking into Roy Hodgson's international set-up on a more permanent basis, Forster added: "I’m new in the door at Southampton and I just want to work as hard as I can and improve.
"I just want to do as well I can for Southampton and see where it takes me. I don’t want to put too much pressure on what I want to do. I will be taking it week by week and game by game."
