Fulham have signed young defender Tiago Casasola from Argentinian side Boca Juniors on a three-year deal.
The 19-year-old has been watched by a host of top European clubs, including Barcelona, but Fulham have snapped him up for a fee believed to be around £800,000.
Casasola is an Argentina Under-20 international and played against his country's senior side as part of their preparation for the World Cup.
Fulham boss Felix Magath said: “He is a young player, a great talent. He is, in my opinion, a player who can develop to play at Premier League and Champions League level.”
And Casasola added: “It’s a great club and I’m very happy to be here. I know that the club has great fans and I also know that it has a long history.”
