Norwich City’s Michael Turner has signed a new two-year contract at Carrow Road.

The 30-year-old joins Ryan Bennett and Wes Hoolahan, who have both signed new deals recently, in pledging his future to the club.

The former Sunderland defender is now tied to the club until the summer of 2016, with the option for a further year.

Manager Neil Adams said: “Michael has been outstanding since I came into the job and that includes last season as well. He’s carried on the form he showed in those final few games into pre-season and then the start of this season.

“He fully deserves his new contract and we’re absolutely delighted that he’s signed on the dotted line.”

Turner has made over 50 appearances for the club since moving south from Wearside in a £4m deal two years ago.
