Vedad Ibisevic has signed a new deal at Stuttgart, ruling out any possible switch to England.
West Ham were understood to be very keen on the 30-year-old Bosnia striker, and reports claimed they lodged a £7million bid.
However, Ibisevic has now pledged his future to the Bundesliga outfit by signing a new three-year deal.
Stuttgart general manager Fredi Bobic told the official website: "He is a leader and, thanks to his experience, he is very important to our squad, in particular in dealing with the younger players.
"Vedad also has a special quality as he holds a genuine goal instinct. He scores regularly and he will continue to do that for us in the future."
Ibisevic himself added: "I really enjoy playing for VfB, so I am really delighted about the trust being placed in me by the club.
"We can develop something here again. With my performances and above all (my) goals, I want to play my part in ensuring that the club enjoys a brighter future."
Since joining Stuttgart in January 2012, Ibisevic - whose original deal at Mercedes Benz Arena would have expired in June 2016 - has netted 33 goals in 72 Bundesliga matches.
