Luis Suarez's appeal against a four-month ban from all football will be heard at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on August 8.

The Uruguay striker was given the suspension after he bit Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil.

A subsequent appeal was rejected by FIFA but CAS will now consider the case.

Barcelona paid Liverpool £75m for Suarez but he is currently banned from even training with his new team-mates.

The 27-year-old is due to return to action at the end of October for ‘El Clasico' against Real Madrid but may return sooner if the appeal is successful.
