Brown freed for Oxford move

Fleetwood have confirmed midfielder Junior Brown has had his contract terminated by the club, allowing him to join Oxford United.

The 25-year-old went on loan to Tranmere from March until the end of last season where he made nine appearances and leaves the Cod Army to sign a one-year deal at the Kassam Stadium. Brown was a key member of the Fleetwood side which gained promotions from the Conference Premier in 2012 and League Two last term. He leaves Highbury Stadium having turned out 106 times for the Cod Army, scoring 13 goals.
