Transfer news: Leroy Fer's agent cools links with Queens Park Rangers

Leroy Fer's agent has played down talk linking the Norwich midfielder with a move to Queens Park Rangers.

Reports coming out of Holland claimed Premier League new boys QPR were closing in on the signing of Fer as Harry Redknapp looked to bolster his midfield options.

Fer only joined Norwich from FC Twente last summer, but despite an impressive debut campaign at Carrow Road he was unable to prevent the club from suffering relegation to the Championship.

Norwich are reported to be bracing themselves for offers for Fer, who played for Holland at the World Cup, but the 24-year-old's agent Rob Jansen says he has not spoken to QPR about any possible move.

"There is quite a lot happening around Leroy, but I haven't spoken with Queens Park Rangers," Jansen told Fox Sports.

"As long as that didn't happen, I don't take such reports too serious."
