Transfer news: Real Sociedad keeper Claudio Bravo ignores future talk

Real Sociedad goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has refused to be drawn on reports linking him with a move to Barcelona.

The 31-year-old is currently away on international duty with Chile and is focusing his full attention on the World Cup.

He is, however, aware that speculation in Spain is suggesting that he could be on his way to the Nou Camp when he returns to his club.

Barcelona have already acquired German shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach as they endeavour to fill the void created by Victor Valdes’ departure at the end of his contract.

They remain keen to add in that department, though, with veteran performer Jose Pinto having also left the club, and Bravo’s vast experience and eight years in Spain with Sociedad make him an obvious target.

There is little substance to the rumours at present, though, and Bravo is reluctant to comment on his future at this stage.

He told Estadao: “I am not anxious, I am calm instead.

“I am with the national team and I am not worried about what might happen in the future. I don’t want to talk about it.”
