Wolves striker Jake Cassidy has returned to Molineux following the end of his loan spell with League One rivals Tranmere.

Cassidy, 21, made 19 appearances during a third stint with Rovers and scored in their 2-2 draw at Bristol City in February. "It was a 93-day loan which was always the case. He's been good for the club again," Tranmere's interim manager John McMahon told the club's official website. "I know his goal ratio has not reflected the amount of work he puts in but I'd like to thank him for his hard work, for his continued commitment to the club and the team." Meanwhile, champions Wolves are hoping for successive 30,000-plus home league attendances for the first time in almost 35 years on Saturday when they play Carlisle on the final day of the season.
