Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has signed a new deal which ties him to the Bundesliga club until June 2016.
The Germany international has not featured for his club since August due to a back injury but was offered fresh terms by Dortmund late last month.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a number of leading teams across Europe, including Manchester United and Barcelona, but has now committed his future to Jurgen Klopp's side.
Gundogan's decision to put pen to paper with the 2013 UEFA Champions League finalists should end any further speculation over his future, and he has now set his sights on a return to action.
He told the club's official website: "I am very grateful that my club has given me the opportunity to continue to be part of this special team and this very special environment.
"I will do everything to help my colleagues again soon and I am very optimistic about the coming weeks and months."
Sporting director Michael Zorc added: "We are very pleased with this deal against the backdrop of the injury-related situation and hope that Ilkay will contribute his full potential in the coming season for BVB."
