Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam hailed a 'massive' win over Manchester United, and was pleased with his contribution in the 2-1 victory.
The former Blackpool midfielder gave his side the lead, with the aid of a huge deflection, but grabbed three points with a goal of real quality.
The three points see the Potters shoot up to 11th in the Premier League, having started the day in 16th, a shift that was not lost on Adam.
"It was a massive win for us," Adam said. "Especially against a team like United, with the quality they have.
"But at home we fancy ourselves against anybody, it is away from home we have to pick it up.
"Today I thought we were excellent even though the conditions weren't great.
"The first goal was a bit lucky, but we will take that and it is a massive three points for us."
The winning goal was worthy of any stage, as the 28-year-old fired the Potters back into the lead almost immediately after United had equalised.
"It was a great strike," Adam admitted.
"I have been trying to get more goals recently, and hopefully now I can get more from now until the end of the season."
