Red Devils bring in Atkins

Crawley have completed the signing of Derby goalkeeper Ross Atkins on a month's loan.

The 24-year-old has been brought in as cover because Town's back-up keeper Johnny Maddison is suffering from suspected appendicitis. Atkins started this season on loan with Conference club Alfreton but has been back at Derby since the start of January. Town manager John Gregory told the club website: "We are not sure what the problem is with Johnny at the moment and obviously goalkeeper is a critical position where we need experienced cover. "I'm grateful to Steve McClaren for allowing us to bring Ross to the club."
