Leon Clarke is understood to be upset by Coventry City's handling of his protracted move to Wolves.
Wolves have identified Clarke as one of their top targets in this month's transfer window as they look to bolster their attacking options.
But the Sky Blues are thought to have rejected two bids from the Molineux outfit for their top scorer.
It is understood that Clarke has grown frustrated at Coventry's stance regarding Wolves' pursuit of his services.
Sources close to Clarke claim he expected Coventry to consider offers for him after they turned down bids from Sheffield United last summer when the club was in administration.
