Sparta Prague insist that nobody has made an offer for their midfield ace Josef Husbauer.
The 23-year-old Czech international midfielder has had a stand-out start to the season which has seen him attract interest from a number of clubs.
Everton are reported to be keeping close tabs on Husbauer but Sparta say nobody has made contact.
"At the moment we are not registering any offer for him but we are aware of the fact that Josef Husbauer is a known name in Europe," Sparta's director of communications Ondrej Kasik stated.
His agent Ondrej Chovanec told Isport Blesk "It would flatter us if Everton were interested.
"At the moment I don't want to support any speculation because the transfer window is not open yet.
"The truth is, however, that big clubs are interested in Josef. There is also interest in Germany and Belgium. When somebody scores 9 goals (as a midfielder), then it is logical he attracts interest.
"Anyway, Sparta will have the first and final word in this. I need to discuss the situation with them before I can be specific."
