Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez believes Saturday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City proves the strength in depth of the Saints' squad.
Mauricio Pochettino's side managed to end their three-match losing run despite being without seven first-team players.
"Despite that run, we still had that belief," said Rodriguez. "We always had that belief.
"We showed that against Manchester City, which is great for us but we need to keep improving and keep working hard.
"We feel that we have a strong squad. Obviously we have a few injuries and that is something we don't like, but you get on with it.
"We still keep playing the way we want to play. Everyone knows that and that showed."
One of the players brought into the starting line-up on Saturday was club record signing Dani Osvaldo, who curled home the equaliser after Sergio Aguero had put City ahead.
"Dani has got a great finish on him," Rodriguez said. "He shows it in training and proved that he can do it in a game.
"He is really good and obviously showed it there. He is an unbelievable talent and a great person as well. It is always nice to work off him and will hopefully help me improve."
