Mooney enjoying Lisbie partnership

Leyton Orient David Mooney insists there is no rivalry with strike partner Kevin Lisbie over who will score the most goals.

Mooney took his tally for the season to eight, level with Lisbie, with a penalty in Monday's 2-0 victory over Brentford - Orient's eighth win out of eight. And the Irishman hopes he and veteran frontman Lisbie can maintain the form which has fired Orient five points clear at the top of League One. "We both complement each other and we are happy for each other when we score," Mooney said. "I've got eight league goals now and long may it continue for the both of us. "We've got a lethal partnership and then you've got Shaun Batt coming off the bench and he's scored in his last two games so he's making a big impact and champing at the bit to get a game." Batt climbed off the bench to score Orient's second goal at Griffin Park and his form is keeping the dynamic duo on their toes. "Of course he is, that's what it is with our squad, everybody in every position is under pressure," added Mooney. "But we've got eight wins out of eight so obviously it's hard for the manager to change the side."
