Doyle: We need to stay positive

Sheffield United captain Michael Doyle has called for his side to "remain positive" following their poor start to the season.

After opening their campaign with victory over Notts County, the Blades have been beaten in the Capital One Cup by Burton and picked up just one point from three league fixtures. It leaves David Weir's promotion hopefuls already eight points off leaders Leyton Orient at this early start of the campaign and, while there is plenty of time to close that gap, Doyle wants to see their form improve as soon as possible. He told the club's official website: "We are getting punished, especially on the road, for every little slip and that is something we must address and look to eradicate quickly. "We are struggling with injuries too at the moment and unfortunately we aren't picking up the points we would like, but we have to remain positive and the gaffer is certainly doing that. "At the moment it is all about character on the field and finding a way of grinding out a win or two, which will give everyone a real boost."
