Guy agrees Carlisle move

Lewis Guy has verbally agreed to join Carlisle after impressing during pre-season, including on Tuesday in the 1-0 win over Bolton.

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott has agreed a deal in principle with the striker and hopes to have the deal wrapped up by the end of the week. "I have had a conversation with Lewis and verbally we are both agreed on something," Abbott told the News&Star. "John [Nixon, managing director]has okayed it in principle. It just needs Lewis to finally agree and for John to find some pieces of paper with all those figures on and for Lewis to sign it. "Lewis has said this is the happiest he has been in his football for a long time. He likes the fact he is a senior player and can help our younger ones and when you see him chasing after causes up at the top of the pitch, it's a great fillip for us. I thought he was terrific against Bolton."
