Sky Sports understands Hull City are closing in on the signing of former Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
Hull have agreed a fee in the region of £1.8million with Turkish club Besiktas for McGregor with the Scotland international understood to have already undergone a medical at the KC Stadium.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce has made a new goalkeeper one of his top priorities this summer and has been linked with the likes of Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel and former Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer.
However, it appears he is poised to finally land McGregor to help fill the problematic goalkeeping spot as he prepares for life in the Premier League.
If McGregor makes the move to Hull he will become the club's fifth permanent signing of the summer following the arrivals of George Boyd, Maynor Figueroa, Curtis Davies and Ahmed Elmohamady.
