Sky Sports understands that Birmingham midfielder Jonathan Spector has agreed a new two-year deal with the club.
The 27-year-old moved to St Andrews on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 following his release from West Ham United.
The USA international has gone on to make more than 80 appearances for the Championship club but his future was placed in doubt when his contract expired at the end of the season.
Blues boss Lee Clark released a number of players at the end of the campaign in an attempt to slash costs at the club but wanted to tie Spector down to a new deal.
A new contract is believed to have been on the table for several weeks and it appears the former Manchester United youngster has agreed to commit himself to the club until the summer of 2015.
