Malaga defender Martin Demichelis has confirmed he would be interested in rejoining his former club River Plate at the end of the season.
Demichelis started his career with River Plate before leaving the Argentinian side for German giants Bayern Munich in 2003.
The 32-year-old ended a lengthy association with Bayern in January 2011 by moving to Malaga and he helped the club to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time.
He has been linked with a summer return to River Plate and Demichelis believes there is a strong possibility that he will head back to his first club.
"I have always said that I want to end my career at River, but I have to wait and see what happens," Demichelis told radio programme Rock & Closs.
"It doesn't depend on me, but the chance of returning is very big.
"But I don't want to be in a hurry and don't want to be a prisoner of my words."
