Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the Premier League will see an influx of players from Spain in the near future.
The Argentine takes his side to Swansea on Saturday, where the Saints will come up against one of the surprise stars of the season in the form of Spanish forward Michu.
The prolific Spaniard has been one of the stand-out players for the Swans, and Pochettino thinks that La Liga may be visited by managers in search of a similar bargain this coming summer.
"We are all aware Spain is going through difficult economic times, and makes their league very interesting for English clubs to go and sign players," he said in the Daily Star.
"Even Barcelona and Real Madrid are going through hard times and are not spending like they did five or six years ago."
The Saints boss, who has surprised many with his impressive start to life at St Mary's, singled out Michu for special praise, insisting the style of play at Swansea is one of the reasons he has bedded in so well.
"Michu has arrived at a club with a very good manager and an established philosophy of playing," he added.
"That style suits him as a player and is similar to the style he played under in Spain."
"He has the ideal qualities to do well in this league. He is very strong, aggressive and physically fit."
