Bayern Munich defender Daniel van Buyten is hoping to extend his contract at the Bundesliga side despite interest from elsewhere, says his agent.
The centre-back is out of contract at Bayern at the end of the season after seven years at the club and is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Van Buyten, who has made 14 appearances for the German outfit in all competitions this season, has been linked with Juventus and Monaco.
His agent, Christophe Henrotay, has confirmed interest from sides in Italy and France but says the 35-year-old is hoping to extend his stay in Germany.
He told calciomercato.it: "I can confirm that Daniel is very appreciated in Europe, especially in Italy and France, but his priority is a new contract with the German side.
"He's a great player and several clubs like him but Bayern Munich remains our first choice."
