Schalke defender Atsuto Uchida is happy to stay with the Bundesliga outfit but admits he would like to try out the Premier League.
The Japan full-back is under contract until June 2015 after joining the club from Kashima Antlers in 2010 for an undisclosed fee.
While he would be happy to stay on after his current contract expires, the 25-year-old admits he is attracted to making his game 'even more complete' with a spell in England.
He told Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung: "If Schalke is glad to keep me beyond June 2015, I would be happy to stay.
"But if the club feels they do not need me anymore, I would like to make the step to England.
"I am excited by that. Over there the game is more physical and this would be a challenge for me to make my game even more complete. I would like to try this out."
