Consistency key for Molesley

Mark Molesley believes Paul Tisdale has found the perfect blend of youth and experience in his promotion-chasing Exeter squad.

In recent weeks youth product Jake Gosling, 19, has become an important part of the City team chasing an immediate return to League One, along with the likes of Scot Bennett, 22, and goalkeeper Artur Krysiak, 23. Their presence in the line-up, along with Reading loanee Lawson D'Ath, 20, complements an experienced core of players including Jamie Cureton, Danny Coles, Pat Baldwin and Molesley, 32. He said: "That is the best environment for young players. There is no shortage of experienced players but we have a great set of youngsters here. "A lot of players are coming through and we have a nice blend of experience and youth. It is looking good. "And I'm really enjoying it here. It is a lovely club with a great set of lads and great staff." The Grecians are fifth in League Two ahead of the trip to seventh-placed Rotherham on Saturday and Molesley is confident his new side can enjoy a memorable final seven games as the race for promotion intensifies. He added: "It certainly is going to be an exciting run-in with some of the big boys to play. "We just have to make sure we start to show some consistency because that is going to be key and I'm sure we can do that. "We've got a mixture of everything in our team. We can fight and scrap but we are also a good footballing side as well."
