Blackburn have signed midfielder David Jones on an emergency loan deal from Wigan until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old, a former England U21 international, signed for the Latics in summer 2011 but has managed 35 appearances since.
The former Manchester United trainee told the official Rovers website: "I'm delighted to be here, Blackburn is a massive club.
"I want to come here and make an impact so I'm really looking forward to it.
"I thought my opportunities would be limited at Wigan for the remainder of the season and this chance arose so I wanted to take it.
"It is a good team and one that I want to try and get in and do well. It has been doing well recently, there are a lot of quality players the football club and hopefully there'll be opportunities for me to come in and help the football club achieve their aim this season."
