Sascha Riether is hoping to stay at Fulham on a permanent basis when his current loan deal from Cologne expires at the end of the season.
The right-back has been one of The Cottagers' stand-out players this season, and with his parent club Cologne earlier this week declaring their uncertainty about where his future lies, Riether has admitted he would like to stay where he is.
"I can't say where I will play next season," he told the Fulham Chronicle.
"But I like to play in the Premier League, and here it's a great club and we have great fans. I'm proud to be here."
However, the 29-year-old knows that the decision is not down to him, and it all depends whether Martin Jol can strike a deal with the Bundesliga outfit.
"It will be the decision of the club and Cologne. They will speak together and in the end they will speak to me," he added.
