Hearts have been dealt a blow ahead of Saturday's Scottish Communities League Cup tie with Inverness Caley Thistle after Callum Paterson was injured in training.
The Hearts winger has a problem with his ankle and he has already been ruled out of the Hampden semi-final.
Jambos boss John McGlynn confirmed the 18-year-old will have a scan on Thursday to assess the extent of the damage.
McGlynn said: "Callum picked up an ankle injury, and while it's not fractured he'll definitely miss out on Saturday.
"He goes to get a scan on it today. It's a big blow to him and the football club."
